grid obstacles

This node will add particle shapes and scene objects as FumeFX or Voxel based simulation obstacles. Particle shapes and objects can be used at the same time.

When using particles and their shapes as FumeFX simulation obstacles, user can enable Use Dynamics option that will enable two-way interaction between FumeFX and NodeWorks.

Note: If an Input (Shape) is connected and Use Dynamics is enabled - activating two-way interaction - NodeWorks’ own simulation substeps are ignored. In this mode, all substepping is controlled exclusively by the FumeFX simulation. This ensures that both the fluid and the interacting object remain perfectly synchronized during two-way coupling..

[Inputs]

#Input (Objects) – Use scene objects as FumeFX obstacles.

#Input (Shape) – Use particle shapes as FumeFX obstacles.

Enabled - Enable or disable node evaluation.

Grid - Select the voxel grid in the scene to which you want to apply obstacles.

Objects - In addition to particle shapes any 3ds max geometry can be used as an obstacle.

Type - Obstacle can be either Shell or Solid. Shell obstacle will have hollow interior.

Minimal Voxelization - When enabled, only parts of an object that fall inside the grid are going to be voxelized. Otherwise, the whole object will be voxelized.

Object Velocity - This parameter will scale object velocity.

Dynamics

Use Dynamics Use this option to enable two-way interaction between FumeFX and NodeWorks.

Force Scale Scales the FumeFX grid forces.

Max Force The maximum allowable force applied to any face of the particle’s shape.

Angular Damping - Damping of particle`s angular velocity (spin).

Inertia Scales the object`s resistance to rotation. Higher inertia makes the object harder to rotate.

Center of Gravity Defines how the object`s center of gravity is determined, which affects how it reacts to FumeFX simulation.

Offset Moves the center of gravity within the object`s local space.

Gravity - Gravity strength.

Direction - Gravity direction

Pos X - Locks position along X axis.

Pos Y - Locks position along Y axis.

Pos Z - Locks position along Z axis.

Angle X - Locks angular velocity around X axis.

Angle Y - Locks angular velocity around Y axis.

Angle Z - Locks angular velocity around Z axis.
