6.7.2

Released on 19.May.2025

New Features and Improvements

- FumeFX: Voxel Data Display has been completely rewritten, resulting in a significant performance boost compared to previous FumeFX versions. Viewport frame rates have increased by more than 10x, enabling much smoother and more responsive interaction.

- FumeFX: Voxel Data Display now includes an option to use channel opacity for visualization. Lower channel values appear more transparent, allowing users to focus on key details. With this addition, FumeFX now supports three voxel data display types: opaque points, transparent points, and GPU-rendered volumes.

- FumeFX: Voxel Data Display includes a new option for custom/automatic range scaling. When automatic mode is enabled, display ranges are recalculated every frame to ensure optimal use of the full color range.

- FumeFX: Grid dimension UI has been redesigned, and new cache-loading information is now displayed.

- NodeWorks: The Particle Advect node has been enhanced with support for advection using the gradient of the Smoke, Fire, Temperature, and Velocity channels from the Voxel Grid.

- NodeWorks: The Arnold User Data now includes an option to normalize each attribute. This is especially useful for shaders, as it ensures attributes are in the `[0-1]` range, making them ideal for use with color and float ramps.

Fixes

- NodeWorks: Read Voxel node crash in certain circumstances.

- NodeWorks: Picking NodeWorks particles in Krakatoa caused Krakatoa to crash.
