Quick Presets

NodeWorks editor includes quick presets option that allows users to create simple setups with just one mouse click. Some of the presets are context sensitive where creation of nodes depends on the selection of objects in the scene.

 

Quick Presets

 

 

Emit From Objects

 

Based on selected objects in the scene, this option will generate simple particle emission on the surface of the object(s), assign cube shape to particles and add some spin.

 

Creation surface emission from selected objects.

 

 

Cloth

 

Use this option to convert selected scene objects into cloth that???s affected by the gravity.

It will automatically enable Deactivate Selected Verts option in Cloth and Softbody node so that all select vertices on the mesh will be simulated as fixed points.

 

 

 

Soft Body

 

Use this option to convert selected scene objects into soft body objects can collide with other scene objects by using the PhysX nodes.

 

 

 

PhysX RBD

 

This preset will create rigid body dynamics setup with PhysX solver, gravity, PhysX Static Collision node and PhysX Object based on selected objects in the scene. Selected scene object will be added to the Import Shape node that will generate particles based on those objects. Those particles will be added to the PhysX simulation by using the PhysX Object node.

Once this setup is created user will need to manually add immovable objects, like floor or walls to the PhysX Static Collision node.

 

 

 

Init Voxel Grid

 

This preset will generate setup that allows you to create voxel grid, change grid position and to display voxel grid data. Object Info node uses transformation matrix of the Pointer Helper object to allow users to manipulate voxel grid position in the scene.

 

 

 

Load Voxel Grid

 

This preset will generate setup that allows you to load, position and display voxel grids. If the FumeFX grid is selected in the scene at the time of preset creation the FumeFX Info node will be created and it will be used to pass the FumeFX grid Default Path directly to Load Grid node. Object Info node uses transformation matrix of the Pointer Helper object to allow users to manipulate voxel grid position in the scene.

 

 

 

Ground Explosion

 

This preset creates a complete explosion setup by using the NodeWorks, FumeFX and Arnold renderer. Arnold Standard Volume material has been automatically created, configured and assigned to the FumeFX grid. All you need to do is to add light, set Arnold renderer sampling and run the FumeFX simulation.
